Church & Community
Location
St Michael & All Angels' Church serves the people of Summertown, Cutteslowe and the Waterways.
It is situated in north Oxford and is part of the Oxford deanery in the Diocese of Oxford.
Summertown has a residential population of around 7,000, a significant proportion of which is transient as is typical of a university city.
The parish includes expensive private housing, council housing, residential and nursing homes for the elderly, student accommodation, and a relatively up-market shopping, restaurant, and business area, as well as small hotels/B&Bs.
Summertown lies just over a mile north of the city of Oxford and is easily accessible by bus.
