Church & Community
Gardening
St Michael's church is located in a beautiful and large communal garden space without any burial grounds.
A group of people take an interest in the church garden and would welcome anyone who has some time available to help.
A great variety of 'therapy' is available from grass cutting and hedge pruning to flowerbeds and composting.
Adopt-a-Plot is a great way for adults to introduce children to the joys of gardening on a small scale. We have several plots that need adopting.
At the end of January we hosted the first garden work party with our Ukrainian friends. A group of a dozen or so helped by members of St Michael's congregation cleared the ivy from the west wall.
This filled thirteen large builders bags and two smaller ones. We are most grateful to Summerfields School for helping with the disposal of this garden waste.
