Healing Services
We believe that God's love for his creation continues today.
The signs and wonders that were performed by Jesus and later by his apostles are not a thing of the past,
nor are they magic tricks.
The Church continues Christ's ministry today and through the sacraments is able to transform people's lives.
We understand that the Eucharist is a healing service par excellence. It is a time that we can honestly face up to ourselves, to one another and, most importantly, to God.
When we receive the body and blood of Christ we, like countless Christians through the centuries, receive God's forgiveness, peace and joy.
On the second Sunday of each month within the Parish Eucharist service, we offer our ministry of healing with the laying on of hands and the anointing of the sick with oil. We name and pray for those who suffer in body, mind and spirit, and we also pray for and remember those who have died.
