Belonging & Believing
Funerals
At times of loss, grief and trauma, the Church is trained and able to walk alongside those who suffer, especially as the result of a bereavement. Loss comes in many forms, but the loss of death can be an awful time to endure.
The Christian understanding of death is framed by the shape of the cross. Christians believe that death is not the end but the threshold of a new beginning. It might therefore be appropriate to celebrate the life of an individual.
Please do not hesitate to contact me, the Revd Gavin Knight (contact information), in order to help in the arrangements of a funeral or a memorial service.
