Who are we?

Priest in Charge

The Revd Jan Rushton - jan.rushton@lineone.net

Jan came to Summertown in December 2002 having served for four and a half years in Putney, and before that in Harrow-on-the-Hill. Her priority at St Michael's is to build a family-friendly inclusive church with a vibrant life of worship and community activity. Jan can be contacted on (01865) 556079 or by e-mail on jan.rushton@lineone.net.

Associate Priests

We are delighted that The Revd Dr Steve Croft, Archbishops' Missioner and leader of the Fresh Expressions team is an Associate Priest at St Michael's; he preaches at our 10am service once a month - do come and hear his message.

Our other Associate Priest is The Revd Willy Pryor; he is responsible for St Michael's work at the many Residential and Care Homes for the elderly in our Parish of Summertown.

Churchwardens

Margaret Fulford - margaret@mfulford.wanadoo.co.uk

Margaret was latterly Senior Midwifery Tutor at the John Radcliffe Hospital. On retirement she trained as a bereavement counsellor for Cruse, and specialises in helping women who have lost their babies. Margaret has written a book on the history of St Michael’s, is the church’s link person to Anglicans in World Mission and is involved in the pastoral care programme at St Michael’s.

Janet Rodgers - janet.rodgers@gmail.com

Janet is new to the Church of England, having been a lifelong Episcopalian in the US. She completed the Education for Ministry (www.efmuk.org.uk) programme through the University of the South and sees Christian life as one of stewardship. She would like to be able to play her bizarre collection of folk music instruments better. Janet is a veterinary surgeon in Oxford.
