The Church Hall

Built with the stone and roof timbers from the original church in Summertown, St Michael’s Church Hall has available for hire two exceptionally large and light rooms.  Used by a huge range of groups locally (from Karate to Craft Fairs, from Drama Groups to Drawing Classes), the facilities offered are very convenient and there is on-site parking too.  The Hall is situated on the corner of Banbury and Portland Roads. The Upper Hall, with a raised stage area (23m²), has an approximate area of 125m² and seats 175 theatre-style, and the Lower Hall is approximately 90m², seating 120 theatre-style. Both Halls have modestly-equipped kitchens.

Lock-up garages and designated parking spaces in this prime location in the heart of Summertown occasionally become available for rent to local residents or businesses. There is currently one garage available for rent at £80 per month [October 2009]. Please email the hall administrator.

October 2009 - the Lower Hall now only has extremely limited termtime/weekday availability but good availability during school holidays. The Upper Hall has some availability particularly midweek. There is some weekend availability - one or other hall is available on most Sundays.
