St Michael's is a Fair Trade church; there is a Fair Trade stall in church every Sunday.  Your support makes a difference.

 

 

SUNDAY CLUB

Sunday Club for children aged 3 and older during the 10am service - except on the first Sunday of the month which will continue to be an all-age Family Eucharist.

As well as our usual Services (list found here), here is a selection of other things that are happening at St Michael's over the next few weeks.

 

 

Sunday 29 June, 7pm at Vicarage FILM NIGHT RESUMES

 

Monday 30 June, 8pm, PCC meets in Church

 

Sunday 6 July, 6pm, Choral Evensong ŻŻ

 

Sunday 13 July, 12 noon, Parish walk to and lunch in Islip - enjoy the great outdoors!

 

 

Advance notice: St Michael's Mission Fair 2008 will take place on Saturday 1 November.

 

 

A Christian Reading Group meets at the Vicarage for discussion of topical books: titles in July and August were "Last Rites: the end of the Church of England" by Michael Hampson

and "Is religion dangerous?" by Keith Ward and in the Autumn the group considered James Alison's work on the so-called "clobber texts".  Contact the Vicar Jan Rushton (see below) for details of the next meeting.

 

You've missed the hugely successful Michaelmas Lectures 2007 entitled The World Today, when Alastair Lack spoke on the USA, Maranda St John Nicolle on World Trade Practices and Rana Mitter on China. Look out for details of the Centenary Lectures!
